New ICF Introductions at NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2013
Several new international designs to be unveiled at the ICF Group Showroom #365 (3rd floor)

CHICAGO, IL June, 2013 - International Contract Furnishings, Inc. keeps true to its heritage by bringing innovative International designs to the American design community.

4A Chair by Michael Young
The 4A chair is made using both extruded and stamped recycled aluminum. It is available in brushed, polished, or powder coated finishes and can be used indoors and outdoors. Michael Young designed 4A for Alexis, his wife – hence its name. 4A’s functionality and beauty happily graces Alexis Young’s restaurant design in Hong Kong. A companion barstool, stool and table are also available.

Add Table by Anya Sebton
The Add Table is a small side table with a clever playful tilt that creates a sense of motion. This subtle design variation adds a degree of flexibility, tilting the table surface toward the user or away, depending on the requirements. Anya Sebton, the noted Swedish product designer of the table, explains: “I see this little table as a perfect place for your iPad or your coffee mug - a table that works in the activity-based environment.”

DRY Chair by Komplot
When unused the DRY chair is straight and flat but when used it adapts to the shape of its occupant thanks to the inherent elasticity of its shell. Light and stackable, with and without armrests, and with an integrated linking mechanism, DRY can be used in almost any situation where a large number of people require comfortable seating. Its minimalistic expression makes DRY very silent and matches any architectural surrounding without visual disturbance.

Emma Lounge Chair by Fredrik Färg & Emma Marga Blanche
Emma is a contemporary lounge chair inspired by the traditional upholstered armchair found in Swedish homes. The Emma chair is available with frame and legs in natural or stained beech, and upholstery in non-woven fabrics or leather. Emma is a hand-sewn, tailored armchair with needlework detail sewn through the flexible plastic shell back. The chair’s dramatic stitching patterns and stylish upholstered wood legs give the chair a warm personal well-dressed feeling.

Expresso Chair & Stool by Luca Trazzi
Naturally, the Expresso chair has a coffee bean shape. It’s a rugged stackable chair with a chrome plated steel structure and a seat shell in molded laminated natural wood. A chrome plated handle opening further distinguishes Expresso and its companion stool.

Flake Chair by Nina Jobs
The sleek Flake chair adds style to any area – a chair for commercial lounge areas that is also a fitting compliment to home interiors. Flake offers the comfort of a covered, molded high-back seating shell, with a swivel pedestal base of ash veneer, either natural or stain. An armchair version is also available, with armrests in ash.

Plaid Screen design by “Form Us With Love”
Plaid updates the idea of the free-standing room divider, with an emphasis on the characteristics and functions of a traditional sound absorber. Made from laminated felt and fabric, Plaid sets a new design standard for the divider and acoustical control category.

Rio Chair by Gunilla Allard
Simplicity meets style meets function. Rio is the shapely 21st-century stack chair from Gunilla Allard. Rio uses a solid rod frame, in stainless or powder-coated steel, and a molded seat/back shell in natural or stained ash, or fully upholstered in fabric or leather. Rio is stackable and linkable, arm or armless. Stacks 10 chairs high on floor or dolly.

Shindo Chair by Michael Young
The slender structure of the Shindo chair is combined with the strength of 20 layers of carbon fiber twill weaves. The result is a high-tech chair that is light as a feather and as strong as a Sumo wrestler.

Collection Enhancements 2013

Blocco Stool by Naoto Fukasawa
Blocco appears to have been carved from a single piece of wood. The kitchen and barstool executions complete the Blocco Chair Collection introduced last year by ICF to North America. The stools have a chrome footrest and are available in natural ash, or stained in black, grey, white or blue.

Comet Sport Chair & Stool by Gunilla Allard
Gunilla Allard has designed a new upholstered shell chair and stool collection that offers full form and function in an efficient scale. Comet Sport has a simple seat shell with a design emphasis on comfort. Comet Sport is a flexible chair collection that is applicable in many different environments.

Campus Sled Base is available in wood veneer or fiber-reinforced polyamide, arm or armless. The sled base generates less noise than traditional chairs on four legs, a valuable contribution to the control of office acoustics.

Spira Swivel Armchair
The Spira armchair is now available with a 5-star swivel base with casters, to further expand the contract opportunities for this successful product. Spira Swivel offers the technologies of scale and added flexibility in a refined Scandinavian style. The 5-star swivel Spira and its companion 4-star swivel with glides are offered in arm version only.

Unique magnetic linking devices give Addit infinite possibilities.

Bits Wall Panel
Bits Wall is a functional sound-absorbent wall panel that can also be shaped into attractive pattern formations, stimulating the designer’s creativity. Using a triangular shape not only produces an aesthetically attractive look, but also effectively blocks sound waves. The sound-absorbent panels are made from molded polyester fiber and covered with fabric. The product is mounted using concealed hanging rails, allowing the panels to be hung either horizontally or vertically, offering users the flexibility to create both symmetrical and asymmetrical pattern formations.

This makes the chair very comfortable.” The chair is available in black or natural leather with a handle on the back of the chair in nylon. Legs in silver or matte black anodized aluminum.

A smash hit. The name of the Stool derives from the Bauhaus-inspired profile of the chromium base.
